Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne 1.23 Advanced Melee AI V2.54 Gameplay Videos

I recently asked around in the WCReplays forums if someone has developed an "advanced AI" mod for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne that's also compatible with the recent 1.23 patch. Well, someone did. Below are videos of me playing against the Advanced Melee AI, which is being developed by someone named "Strategy Master":

Freeware Strategy Games Update: UFO: AI March Development News

All your base are belong to them.

This is a month late but for those of you who haven't noticed, the guys at Ufoai.sourceforge.net have released the March updates for their freeware strategy game a while back. The current version that's being dissected AND reverse-engineered at their operating table now has base attack!

Let me say that again: UFO: Alien Invasion, the Quake 2-powered freeware strategy game that's trying to bring back the X-Com gameplay from the days of yore, now has BASE ATTACK!

Yep, according to this Internet celebrity, they are. They are now belong to them. (Image from the AYBABTU Wiki entry)

>>> More details about this sci-fi turn-based freeware strategy game

Imagine, you've just captured several aliens and their doodads, and you're trying to figure out what makes the things tick, when suddenly the whine of anti-gravity drives erupt from somewhere above you and you realize that somewhere outside your base, lumbering Ortnoks and crafty Shevaar assault units are trying to storm in. You're caught in an alien base attack with you in one of PHALANX's modular research units with your pants down and with the 36-24-35 gorgeous orderly who just got hired!

Wait, that came out wrong again.

Anyway, you get the idea. Base attack ladies and gents! Base attack!

Apologies for the month-long hiatus but work has been crazy.

In my absence, a lot of updates to freeware multiplayer shooters have popped up (more on this later) but the audiophile in me found this news almost more exciting than all the recent freeware strategy game/multiplayer shooter updates combined: K-Lite Codec Pack Full v4.8.0 has been released today!

>> What's so special about free, K-Lite Codec Pack full downloadable versions? Click.

What's new? This from Free-Codecs.com:

Changes from K-Lite Codec Pack 4.7.5 FULL to K-Lite Codec Pack 4.8.0 FULL :

L4D (Left 4 Dead) Hunter Gameplay Video

Effing awesome.

If you work for us and you see someone wearing a hooded sweater with the number 420 emblazoned on the front, that's probably be me. No worries; I'm just gonna pat you on the back for a job well done. If you see someone with the same clothing jumping up and down the buildings of Divisoria though, you better pray you can run faster than Carl Lewis:

No wait, with skills like that, you're definitely not gonna see him. Go back and play CS v1.0.

And I thought infected fought attrition matches. That team will totally own survivors.

Download Dox Optimised 182.46 Video Card Graphic Driver

WARNING: This is a 3rd-party, Nvidia-based tweaked video card driver. Nvidia does not support this software. I also have not tested this one yet. Install at your own risk.

Dox of Laptopvideo2go.com released Dox Optimised 182.46 last March 26. The driver no longer supports hybrid laptops and quadro cards but supports a wide range of Nvidia GeForce video cards (series 6 all the way to the GT200).

It also doesn't come with PhysX, which is a relief for users whose cards don't support it. As a result, the installer is very small, weighing in at 27.3Mb.

The driver "is tweaked for higher performance with minimal loss in IQ (system dependent)."

Download Dox Optimised 182.46 HERE.

(It's spelled that way; a lot of users search for "Dox Optimized.")
