I got curious about this game as it garnered "9.0+" ratings all over the Internet (not to mention the impending launch of Batman: Arkham City). I downloaded the demo and gave it a whirl. It's awesome. I've never played a game with gameplay mechanics like what this PC third-person (beat 'em up? Stealth game?) has.
It's hard to describe Batman: Arkham Asylum as it blurs, breaks, and melds the barriers of several genres.
