Free Full Version PC Strategy Games News: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun and Firestorm Released as Freeware

Well what do you know? I talked with some guys at Tech-PC on where to buy System Shock 2 (hailed by Gamespot as one of the greatest games of all time) and when I woke up today, two other classics have now been released as downloadable free full version PC strategy games.

Image taken from the EA site. Placed here for the sole purpose of promoting the release.

That's right, EA has released two new chapters in the war against Kane and the Brotherhood of Nod as free strategy games. I'll download this over the weekend and "take the guns for a spin."

Oh wait, that belongs to another Command and Conquer game. I can wait another decade for that though. If the Scrin won't arrive first. >)_)

>>>I'm too busy to google to see if this game is really free. Is it really?

The download link after the jump.

Hello. I'm afraid you've gotten your facts crossed. I've provided several resources on this page making clear that these games are legal to download:

You must have clicked on the "Premium" option or something. Fileplanet provides two types of servers: for free users and subscribers.

Comrade---their downlaod manager---is free. No need to shell out a single cent.

Still skeptical? Go to the official EA forums and post your question there. Or google and search for facts.

I ran into the same problem recently - EA changed their site and the link you provide can only lead you to a purchase portal for Tiberian Sun (while still free, on their official site they packaged it with C&C Generals and a few other games for $20). You can get can still get the full game for free from file planet though at: http://www.fileplanet.com/210105/210000/fileinfo/Command-&-Conquer:-Tiberian-Sun---Full-Game-Client

Thanks for this heads-up. Last time I visited (2010) it was still up on their site. I've included the Gamespot link though. This fixes the whole thing.

Again, thanks man!

No problem. Your site is spam- and warez-free. Plus it has good resources. I also sent a letter to your site's e-ad.
